Frequently Asked Questions about Art Classes

Do classes continue during summer?

Yes, classes continue year-round to maintain creative momentum. We can work with you to accommodate summer schedule changes if needed.

Do you provide all the art supplies?

Yes! We provide all supplies needed during class. Plus, each student receives their own backpack Portfolio to safely transport their artwork and keep the creativity going at home.

How do you adapt teaching for different age groups?

Each age group has a specially designed curriculum:
- Ages 4-5 focus on introduction to art basics through fun, hands-on projects
- Ages 6-9 explore various master artists and their techniques
- Ages 10-14 continue exploring master artists while refining their skills

How many students are in each class?

The size of each class varies by age, but there will not be more than 12 students in a class. We keep our class sizes small to ensure each young artist receives individual attention while still enjoying the benefits of creating art in a group setting.

How will I know about my child's progress?

We keep parents updated on their child's creative journey through regular communication about projects and artistic development. You'll see tangible progress through the artwork they bring home each week.

What does my child need to bring to class?

Just their creativity! We provide all necessary supplies during class.

What happens in a typical class?

Each class, students will create a new art project using various mediums including clay, painting, collage, sculpture, chalks, and oil pastels. Students learn about color, line, shape, and form while creating artwork they can take home that day.

What if we miss a class?

f your child needs to miss their Art FUNdamentals class, simply cancel in your Opus1.io account. For cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance, you'll receive a self-book make-up credit. For cancellations with less than 48 hours notice, there will be no make-up credit. Keep in mind that each week we focus on a specific art project, so if you use a make-up credit to attend a 2nd class in the same week you will be working on the same project again.

Will my child bring artwork home?

Yes! Students create a new art project each class to take home that day. This allows them to share their creative progress with family and build their own collection of artwork.
